Day 10: Trust Wallet #100DaysofProduct
Product Features : General UI Improvements, Password Confirmation for Withdrawal, Hardware wallet support, Manual Input chain ID and Network RPC url.
Hey guys, it's day 10 of the 100-day product challenge I started with my friend Samuel to examine 100 applications and improve them with features we think would be great.
I spent the past two days exploring every icon, button, field, menu, switch, and page there is to explore on the Trust Wallet mobile app. Trust Wallet is a non-custodial multi-crypto wallet app that gives users full control over their digital assets, from cryptocurrencies to non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
It is one of the most widely used non-custodial wallets, standing up to Metamask with its ease of use and less susceptibility to social engineering attacks. Trust Wallet has tons of features that allow users to perform other operations aside from storing and transferring digital assets. Some of the key features include;
- An in-built Dapp Browser
- Multi-coin support
- Staking
- Buy crypto from partner vendors.
- Manage multiple wallets in one.
I was having trouble thinking of new features for Trust Wallet until I started comparing it to Metamask. So, here are the features I think would be great and why;
Password confirmation for withdrawal : This feature would greatly reduce the risk of loss by providing users with a confirmation window to approve each withdrawal.
Hardware wallet support: This feature allows users to transfer crypto from a hard wallet directly to the trust wallet application using an OTG.
Manual Input Chain ID and Network RPC URL: This feature would allow users to log into other networks in the dapp browser to explore web applications on different blockchains. It will also allow test net users to do the same.
General UI improvements: The clusters of the amount of tokens in the wallet, the general font sizes and hierarchy, the icon size and alignment, and many other design improvements would be greatly appreciated so long as they do not affect functionality, speed, or user friendliness.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
